Funny, I never liked the idea of reading about someone else's life. No doubt there have been interesting people out there, but I think you should make the most of your own life, rather than admiring others.

Parallel Journeys, Eleanor H. Ayer With Helen Waterford And Alfons Heck. This is actually two people's autobiographies woven together. Helen Waterford survived Auschwitz. Alfons Heck was a member of the Hitler Youth, and then the German Air force. They met and became friends in the 1970's. Then they shared their stories with others. It's a GREAT book.

I've never actually read an autobiography. Although I have read Marco Polo's Travels - does that count? Probably not. Its a good book though.

Presuming that you wanted to say something like: "Have you ever read an autobiography that you just couldn't put down? If so, what was the title?" then yes, I have. It's lost a little of its immediacy now but I thoroughly enjoyed Bob Geldof's "Is That It?"

"Notorious: The Life of Ingrid Bergman"
I'm serious, it was a really surprisingly good read, especially when her career was on vane and the glitter started to wear off. It's easily one of the the best autobiographies I have ever read.
