You could go cartoony, like ScoobyDoo, Shaggy, and Fred.
You could also go as a few pirates, you could go as two players from two different football teams and the other could be a referee.

think of a popular movie that everyone will know who you are. you can be freddy, jason, and michael myers and fight each other all night. you can be scarface and his cronies or goodfellas and talk with accents the whole night. u can be the characters from dumb and dumber or something. think about what celebrities one of you might actually resemble and it will be funny to act it out the whole night. you can be pbs characters. one of u could be steve from blue's clues and act gay, one of u could be a teletubby and act gay, and one of u could be ernie or bert and act gay, and call yourselves "The gay heroes your kids look up to." i don't know. the best costumes are dumb!
