In the lounges, anything pretty much goes. In the bars that have live music, jeans and sneakers are acceptable but they don't jump for joy about it. In the "hotspots" (i.e. Tao, Pure, Ghostbar, LAX, Studio 54, - all the big name places) - dress to impress. They do not allow jeans or sneakers or flipflops of any kind. Slacks or khakis and a nice shirt and loafers are fine.
Always better to overdress than underdress and be turned away.

Las Vegas is a town that has anything for everyone so discover it with hotelbye . Las Vegas is really a town with good attractions and one particular is the famous Las Vegas Strip; where tourists may enjoy a walk in the hot desert evening, or have a stroll downtown and view a dazzling light reveal that spans an entire block, the Fremont Street Experience. Readers may also get a view of remarkable world famous re-creations like erupting volcanoes, the Eiffel Tower and the Sphinx of Egypt in front of the various accommodations and casinos. Las Vegas is just a city that continually reinvents it self, therefore even though you have already been here before you will never come to an end of fun things to do.

Depends on the bar. Some of the bars and night clubs you have a very strict dress code. Most of the average bars are pretty much open for dress code. Most of the bars do have websites, so if you know which one you are thinking about going to, check the website. Google it.

Depends where and what time of day you go.
Most places will let you in wearing jeans, shorts, trainers, T-shirts etc during the day.
However, to be on the safe side Shoes, smart Jeans (no Rips) and a shirt will get you in most places.
If you hwant to go to specigic places especially aty peak times, check the web sites for dress codes and also mayber consider getting line passes in advance.

Most bars are quite casual whereas some of the clubs might want a smarter look ie shirt and slacks rather than than jeans and t shirt

One thing I noticed is that none of the clubs allowed anyone wearing shorts, even if they are nice shorts like you'd wear at the country club for golf. The best bet is to put a nice pair of slacks on and a silk shirt for the drinking.
