I had pre-marital sex and glad I did! First of all, sex is a huge part of marriage and if it is bad that alone will cause couples to fight, cheat and/or divorce. So, I think sex like talking about wanting kids before marriage is a must!

Things do happen... engaged couples do break up. So until you actually are married, I wouldn't really use that as an excuse.

Also, I had sex w/ my fiance before we were married (he's the only guy I've ever been with) & I'm still trying to work out the guilt & strain it's put on our relationship. There's also a thrill that goes on when you have sex outside of marriage when you know you shouldn't be & that goes away when you say your vows & takes away something very special that makes it hard to grow back into a healthy sex life afterward.

Well, I may not be qualified to answer since, as a Roman Catholic for almost 60 years now, some here on Answers feel I'm not Christian. I pray for them. And I'm male, not female, so, another "disqualification". Finally, I'm a mental health professional with 20+ years experience, now retired. Therein I may have some more help for you. I used to give my patients all the clinical mumbo-jumbo about "guiltless sex", etc., but from before my clinical practice years, and now after them, I have known and have come to know the reality of sin, not only from the clinical perspective but also the Christian perspective. So, here it is, well within the "clinical hour" we normally charge for. You know what you did was wrong. It wasn't wrong against our earthly rules as many of your answers here indicate, but it was wrong against God's rules. So, turn to Him and, in a prayerful way, be "point-blank-honest" with Him about what you did and how you know it violates His wishes, and ask Him to forgive you. Clinical result: You'll be out from under the depression before you can finish your confession. As a Roman Catholic I'd love that you could feel the release from guilt and depression that comes with going into the Confessional and confessing that sin to God through the Priest. But, of course, not being Roman Catholic, you can't receive that grace of Confession. But, in your private room or most private area where you feel secure, stop and turn to the Lord, Jesus our Christ, prayerfully tell Him what you know you did wrong and how sorry you are for that, and you will be a "new woman" instantly, even before you get through telling Him what you wanted to tell Him. And to think that I charged people good money for hours to "treat" them for something God does for free, and instantly. God Bless you.

> What do yal think about pre-martial sex????

It's 2007. I don't have a problem with it.

> i am not married and i have sex with my Fiance and him only

So you're not promiscuous. That's fine.

> but we are getting married....
> What do u think???

As I said, I don't have a problem with it. What's really important
is what you think. If you're cool with it, fine. If not, then you might
want to think twice about what you're doing.

Personally, I think that pre-marital sex can be a good thing.
Some people get married just to have sex and I think that is a
huge mistake. But that's just me...

Your mileage may vary.

it all depends.....
in some cultures, if you are not a virgin then you can't get married. you are considered "used" and other men (from the same culture) will not marry you.
in this case, i think pre-marital sex is a bad idea. what if something fatal happens to your fiance...after you guys have sex.

but since you've already done it.....then why ask about it

I don't have a problem with it. Sex is an enjoyable experience and I say go for it. The only way to know what we like is to experience things. I wouldn't want to get married to someone if I didn't know if we were sexually compatible.

I think if you are happy this way then it's fine with me. But I would feel that I missed out on a lot of fun if I only had sex with the man I eventually married.

I'm fine with pre-marital sex. I can't see any reason not to have it, regardless of whether I'm planning to marry the person or not. But it's different for everyone.

To each their own. I personally don't think its a big deal. It is a sin in the bible but now a days it is more socially acceptable. Especially if you two are already planning on getting married.
