Only been to the Bell Centre once (in 98 against the Islanders having won a contest at "NIckels", a chain like Denny's which I believe was owned by Mike Bossy at the time) 1) I liked everything about it, but was nostanglic for the Forum. 2) Nothing really, but the scalpers outside are a tad aggressive. 3) Make it bigger. In a market like MTL we'd easily sell 30k seats a nite if the arena were big enough eh. Canadiens fans aren't bandwagon fans which I can't say for those of other teams also I think that the VIP section should be accessible to the public. There's a lot of history on display, would be nice if it were made more accessible to a greater number of fans, because as I've always said you can't appreciate the present without knowing the past

Ive been to Joe Louis Arena, Mellon Arena, the Scott Trade Center (back when it was the Savvis Center), and Nationwide Arena. To be honest, I didnt pay too much attention to the buildings themselves. I could have been sitting outside on bleachers for all I care. As long as there is a good hockey game in front of me, the quality of the building makes no differance.

None, I prefered the older arenas like MLG, the Forum in Montreal, the Olympia, Chicago Stadium, the Corral Centre in Calgary, the old St. Louis Arena.

THose places were old and had charm. Today's arena's are nothing more than multi-purpose boxes that hold 40+ hockey games a year.

The old arenas were multi-purpose too....but hockey was higher on the purpose list.

The Excel Energy Center, home of the Minnesota Wild. My favorite features are the high school hockey jerseys hanging up, the lighthouse, the Zamboni shaped organ, and who can forget that bellowing foghorn when the team scores a goal. I really like that there is a focus on Minnesota's hockey heritage in the arena, it really puts you in the mood to cheer on the home team.

I've been to the Wachovia Center (Philly), St Pete Times Forum (Tampa), Nationwide Arena (Columbus), and United Center (Chicago). Of these, my favorite is Nationwide Arena. Both the facility and staff are super.

The arena with the most character however, had to be Cincinnati Gardens when the (AHL) Mighty Ducks played there. It's an intimate little haven made of poorly painted concrete block where you could literally run into a player coming off the ice as you were looking for your seat.

The Bell Center in Montreal. The biggest arena of the NHL (capacity) and always sold out. Not to mention that this arena is also a Montreal Canadiens museum! The only bad thing about it, the price of beer and hot dogs!

One thing the new arena's don't have is that sense of history when you go in them. There was a special feel walking the halls of the Forum or MLG and thinking about Joe Primeau or Rocket Richard having been there before me. The new arenas are just big concrete boxes.

Easy. Joe Louis Arena by far. I went to my first Wings game last year. The atmosphere in the Joe is absolutely amazing! I mean forgot the hockey. The real show is the fans. They are so loud that even my mother enjoyed it. She calls it entertainment and I agree with her. It makes you want to go back and watch the Wings some more. Seriously. It was that fun.
