This has been mooted - its also been said that we are just a computer programme running on a mega computer.

Whether we are the "thoughts" of the higher power exactly is a difficult concept and a little bit of a grey area - technically a thought is a conscious, internal action.
It is true the universe is made up of mainly space - even atoms are. The only things that are are charged "particles" - although they are not particles at all, they are just charges which spin in different ways creating vibrations.
All the universe therefore is made of energy (charges) which is expanding and once burst out of nothing (physicists have now realised a pocket of energy can indeed come into existance from nothing) and was just a tiny concentration of energy.
An energy exploded out and created all of us and still the energy (vibrations of charges) makes up our world. The odds are so stacked against this universe or any structured physical universe which could support life coming out if this situation by chance (very delicate balance of charges) that it is argued that there must be intelligence behind the design.
We are the creation of and we live in an intelligent energy.
Therefore you could well say we are the thoughts of some higher power.

Before creation, should come the plan. Even just writing an alphabet, we have its seed in our mind. This whole creation must have a plan before it is created. Think of DNA, which is the map to build a body and then who drafted this DNA. We have to believe some higher power, who knows better.
