My daughter has a project to make up a myth on how earth, sun, moon, mountains, sea, etc... was created. Any ideas? If you had to use your imagination what would you say?

To the rude responder - I hardly think she is lazy - she is in all advanced/honors classes and does, marching band, ROTC and soccer. She is just searching for some ideas. She obviously would not use your idea verbatim - get a clue.

These are myths people - not the real thing. She is in highschool and understands the difference between this and our religion.

Once upon a time their lived 5 girls names Earth, Sun, Moon, Mountain and Sea. They lived on their planet called Venus. One day while they were playing they found a silver ball and all the gils touched it and they BAM. They Turned into that silver ball. Sea was first. She created the water that we swim in, drink and wehere animals live in, and were we get our food from. Then it was Mountains turn. She created land, hills, and mountains that we live on and where we survive. Next was Sun, Sun made items grow and caused daylight and warmth. But Sun got to big in the ball and burst open and flew so fast it went infront of Mercurery. But it was fine because it was just warm enough. The it was Moons turn. She turned things into night and got cold. Well she got so mean that she split away from them. But she still remains around usfor she is giving us the cold shoulder. Lastly was Earth. Earth brought life, people, animals, and started life of this new planet named after the girl Earth.

She can look into mythology books to get ideas. I remember one where the god in the story held up the Heavens and held down the Earth and pushed them farther and farther apart because they were once right next to each other.
Other stories have certain parts of nature come from areas of the body of the god - such as the sun is from one eye and the moon is from another. The bones make up the mountains and the blood is the sea and so on.

The god of light was asked by the goddess of water to light the new planet that was being made by the gods as a perfect place to live. While the god of light was helping to warm this ball of blue water the god of mountains and land was deciding just what would be placed on this new world in the making. He decided to build great mountains on large areas of land so the gods would have room to roam and have high mountains on which they could see for many miles. Later the god of forests and fields started placing his beautiful forests and wide fields of grass and flowered meadows. The goddess of all the animals seeing the vast areas that her animals could roam made a great mixture of the finest fish and fowl, the magnificent giants and the tiniest of creatures. The god of light decidet on a ball take it from there if you want to.want

I believe what the bible says how it was created is a myth , so that is what I would write about.
However, another idea, I am sure she has friends, she could ask them what Myth they plan on using, as to if she is going to make one up for herself. Go from there. Have her look up Roman or Greek Myths. That could help too.

It happened this way. A beautiful Deva of balance and order merged her spiritual essence with the materials coming together to form the planet. In this way the living biosphere Gaia was born and she is our Earth Mother.

I would love to know what school wants there pupils to think of something other than God made the earth. This to me is terrible. I would have my son out of that class in no time flat.
And I would report that teacher. He would never be back in that class again.

This is your daughters project...not mine. If you would have asked for help on where or how to get ideas I'd gladly offer advice. But you asked for an answer to her specific project.
By doing this your not teaching her any values other then lazyness and that other people should be responsible for her needs
