I think it would be wrong for a party not to do something just because another party had thought of it first. That would be cutting off their nose (and the UK populations) to spite the other party which would be very childish.
If any party comes up with a good idea, it is up to the Government to implement it if it is the interest of the people.
In the same way if the opposition party opposes something just because they hadn't thought of it first, that would be just as wrong.
I once worked on an IT project with 2 managers who managed different sections of the team. The problem was that they hated each other, and we spent a year getting nowhere as each of them ruined the others efforts. Eventually their boss came in and got rid of one of them, although they were both as bad as each other.

No, they can get away with far more with that name, don't ask me why. None of the parties offer me anything that I want, they only offer lies. I am surely classed as a reactionary in the eyes of either the rich Labour party or the rich Tory party, for all that they want to do is to climb on the gravy train and make themselves still richer. To reach this desirable end they will lie themselves black in the face, as they have done for years. What I would like to see are more prisons built to accomodate the ever increasing tide of villiany, preferably with hard labour, and the end of the lunatic mass importation of forigners, many from the most brutal countries on earth. Neither of these things will happen. One thing is certain, whatever bunch of liars get in, our lives can only get steadily worse, for they don't give a damn about anything save personal power and money. If you don't believe me, read between the headlines during the next parliament. (Do you know why they call it that? It's because there's a lot of parley and nothing meant.)

I think to be honest Kamran whoever was in charge it would be no different.
People used to have respect for the government (if they voted them in) but nowadays there is no difference between the parties, it is purely personalities.
The press can make or ruin a government in moments.
If the Conservatives ever get back in to power I am not sure anything will be any different, or maybe just the press won't let anything be different.
At the end of the day whoever is in power, the majority of the country have access to healthcare and food and we have to be thankful for that at least.
Having grown up through mass unemployment, the miners strikes and massively inflated house prices I'm not so keen on seeing the conservatives back in but I'm sure my children will feel the same about Labour.

New Labour had some good ideas just before they were elected, I'm still waiting for those to be put into effect.
Sounds familiar, having good ideas just before being elected. Who else in recent history has been like that? Oh yes, David Cameron! Now isn't that a thing. What's next - New Conservatives?
Gordon Brown stole this countries' pensions, don't anybody forget that.

I am trying to think of a single that Gordon Brown or Tony Blair did which benefited the people of this country but I can't think of a single thing. Gun crime is rife and what are they doing about. You got it. Nothing.

The last Conservative government was pure evil, but I think they've learned their lesson.
The current Labour government are also nasty. Don't forget, it was Gordon Brown who decided to tax pensions. Work all your life, pay loads of tax, live in poverty when you retire. We should make him pay at the next election.
