Both, either together or separately.

a lens, much like a magnifying lens, can direct and focus light to a point. (How many times have we seen kids using a magnifying glass to fry ants, or try to ignite dry leaves?)

A concave mirror can direct light also in a similar focus, but rather than refracted light as with a lens, the concave surface would reflect light the same way a satellite dish focuses signal into a receiver.
