If you believe it brings you luck - then it will :)

It is possible to use items to alter your aura and thereby be more open or closed to certain energies and thereby their related events. This is not an easy thing to do however and most effective charms need to be crafted specifically for an individual and energy to avoid/attract. Remember that a charm is a static and competive inhibitor and as such not foolproof at all.

The standard charm necklaces and such are useless.

if a person thinks there is or are certain specific item(s) which bring them good luck then from a psychological point of view yes they will work for that particular individual. however, to those people who do not believe in any good luck charm(s) this is nonsense. depends upon an individual's point of view and personal belief system.
