A few times, when quickly accelerating, my car will sort of sputter. It is only for a moment and then it's fine. It doesn't do this every time, but occasionally. My check engine light was on and they discovered it was an EGR fluid code. The mechanic couldn't do it so I need to go somewhere else. I was wondering, is there a connection between these problems? How bad is this going to hurt (price)

thanks!
Lisa

egr FLUID code. Someone doesn't know what they are doing. There is no fluid code for an egr. I would think the problem is not egr related. More likely a throttle position sensor (tps) but without the code from the check engine light I am in the dark. NEVER replace any part till you know the problem. I would find a diffrent mechanic. Get the code and post it here

EGR "fluid"?
No such thing.
(exhaust gas recirculation = EGR valve)

I'd lean more toward a plugged fuel filter.

It shouldnt be too expensive of a part or labor. And that should be a real simply fix.
