Well, originally beacuase of the spin job connecting Iraq to 9/11 and mongering fear about non existent WMD's. But now we are fighting becasue we started it and have no idea how to end it without making things worse for us and the Iraqi's.

It's hard to throw a touchdown pass standing outside of the stadium. Iraq is the 10 yd line. Iran is the endzone. Hey morons...even the hard drive on the computer you are using to read this is lubricated with oil. The bike you ride, the car/train/bus you use etc..........OIL is good!! The machines to manufacture the clothes you wear, the machine that prints your welfare check...you get the idea.

Control of the Middle East by trying to force Democracy on them one nation at a time. Which, by the way points back to controlling the oil. Control the Middle east and you control the oil.

You can go to the White House web site and read the "official" reason all you want. None are enough to support an invasion and occupation.

quick example: on the site, one reason listed was as follows": Whereas Iraq's demonstrated capability and willingness to use weapons of mass destruction... Notice it doesn't tell you they are referring to an incident that happened in the 80's????? By the way, just where were all those WMD's.?????

weapons of mass destruction!!! remember... that we didnt find, then to overthrow the Taliban, then to catch Bin Ladin(if he even exists), Sadam, Democracy, The War on Terror, ya know, it seems that we are just there for oil, and all these other things have been a way to persuade Americans to jump on the bandwaggon, or to at least make it seem right.
