You mean you're 5 weeks pregnant right? Because the way the doctors add up the weeks of pregnancy, they start from the first day of your last menstrual cycle, which would put 3 weeks pregnant right about around implantation (when the embryo burries its self into the wall of the uterus) and women don't even know at that point that they are pregnant, and only after implantation a pregnancy test will show positive (because hcg releases into your system, and shows positive on a pregnancy test from about 2-4 days after implantation) on a pregnancy test.
Anyways hehe, sorry, but YES, it is VERY common to cramp during early pregnancy, most women describe it like an oncomming period....

Yes, as everyone else said, mild cramping is normal, especially in the first trimester. If the cramping becomes severe, or is accompanied by bleeding, then you need to see a doctor. Also, as you get further along, sudden, quick, sharp pains on the sides of your uterus are normal too, especially when you cough, sneeze, or get up too fast. Those are round ligament pains (round ligaments are what your uterus in place).

I cramped on and off the whole time I was pregnant. I believe the cramping is normal. However if you bleed, you should go to the doctor.

Yes, as long as it's not severe. I had some period-like cramping around 5 weeks and it's just your uterus expanding. Good luck and congrats :)
