Because success in any effort while George Bush is president is contrary to the 'progressive' agenda to regain political power and control. You'll notice that other than voting to go to war in Iraq, a war which they have been trying to ensure we lose ever since, 'progressives' have not supported a single one of the President's efforts on the national security front. This would be okay if they had any better ideas, but they don't and never have. They simply do not support his. And they spin this as 'patriotism'.

'Progressives'. Gotta love 'em. They are such silly little buggers.

Iraq did not attack the United States--and had no ties to al-Qaida.

Therefore the war in Iraq is not part of the war on terror--and never was.

America's real enemies are sitting in the Pakistan mountains, safe and sound, while Bush plays patsy with the dictator who is giving them safe haven.

So--there is no war on terror at all, in Iraq or elswhere.

Iraq is a "sugar trap?" Why wasn't Afghanistan a "sugar trap?"

I like how you redefine something after the fact...Is that you Chenney?

Keep repeating it...it might come true.

By the way...terrorists, while evil, are not as stupid as flys. They are smart enough to pilot jets...or have you forgotten 9/11?

Because A: There are millions of Iraqi's that would rather use their nation in a different way.. AND IT'S THEIR NATION. and B: because Bin Ladin and his boys aren't in Iraq.. they are up in the Pakistani mountains rebuilding their troops and influence... staying away from Iraq and laughing at us all the time.

Some (those with a brain) do support it.
My concern is: Why are'nt we fighting Iran as well.
If we leave Iran as is it will go down in history as as big a blunder as giving eastern Europe to Stalin after WWII was.
Imangine a world without communism and it's horrors. For example, Stalin's death camps in Siberia, the cultural revolution in China and the killing fields of Cambodia.
The death toll is in the tens of millions for these crimes against humanity. The Islamo-fascists have no less in mind for us infadels.

"a perfect way to kill them" ?? ha-ha NO !

a perfect way to win the war on terror would be to fight and win.

100% of the blame for not getting things done right goes to bush. he has failed his country.

its never a good idea to support a big mistake

It's a global war, we just have a strong foothold on it in Iraq.
