Let me clarify my answer a bit. There are different ingredients in hot dogs made by different brands. The same holds true with bologna,,different brands have different ingredients. The QUALITY of the ingredients is a factor that must be recognised in answering this question. Let us say that the QUALITY levels of BOTH meats were equally high. I would choose a "hot dog". If my choice was a LOW GRADE hot dog or a HIGH GRADE bologna,,,THEN I would choose the bologna and NOT the hot dog.

Hot dogs, definitely! With mustard and relish! yum!
Bologna is that old stand-by when I don't feel like cooking and don't want to go out to get something. If I'm feeling cheap, it's a bologna sandwich; if I'm not, then I call somebody (like Pizza Hut or some chinese places) that delivers.

I do not eat either one but if I have to make a choice, I would prefer BOLOGNA.
