Okay this is bizarre. Here is my question. I have an '05 Dodge Neon.' When I dropped my girl off at school earlier it didnt wanna start (It had a starter bad like noise. When I turned the key it clicked ~not turning over~) It wasn't the battery cause it had good wattage... SO! I popped the clutch and got it started that way. Ever since then it has been starting fine. Granted it does need an oil change (Over due by almost 2,000 miles) but i don't think that has anything to do with the starter.... Does it? Do I need to take it to the shop....? What do you guys/girls think out there???

Remove and clean your battery terminals and cable connectors with the wire brush type below you buy at any auto parts store. If your battery is over 5 years old, replace it anyways as soon as you've got the bucks.

What Ello said is correct. Charge the battery. If this happens again, I'd take the battery to Autozone and get them to test it to see if you need a new one.

check your connections first, then if you still have issues, have the starter tested at your local auto-zone or advance...

Did it only do it once?

It's an imperfect world and things don't work sometimes.
