Because there has never been an authentic sighting of an alien spacecraft. A lot of people may find that hard to believe, but not a single UFO case has ever panned out.
However, it occurs to me that if aliens WERE really here, then they have done a fantastically good job of camouflaging their presence in a mess of hoaxes and bogus sightings (like hiding a diamond in a bucket of crushed ice) while at the same time bringing the concept of their existence into our culture. Just a thought :-)

The Drake equation suggests that there is undoubtedly a multitude of other intelligent life in the universe, however, that's a big jump to say that because there is intelligent life that we are being visited...
As we currently understand physics (wormhole theories aside), it's not practical for aliens to visit us given the distances involved.
I've said it before on here... Everytime man has thought he is the exception and not the rule, he has been wrong. To think we are "alone" is arrogant at best and idiotic at worst.

Possible? Yes. Likely? Not at all. Just because something is possible doesn't mean it's happened. And certainly doesn't mean it's visiting us. Sure, there could be aliens. Science tells us that. Science also tells us that there absolutely no evidence that aliens are visiting us. So if you trust science on one account, why not on the other?

I think its really ignorant that Humans on earth think that we are the only living. Like of course theres a million of places in space that we have not seen or know anything about. The other life on other planets, are probably wondering if there is ppl living on earth. There might not be aliens, but there might be humans that dont need air to breath. We developed on earth, humans could be developing on other planets. there bodies are probably differnent then ours. So of course there other life forms, we just arent advanced enough to go that far in space.

I totally believe it is POSSIBLE that there are intelligent aliens traveling in space that may visit us in the future, or may even have visited Earth before human civilization started.
I disbelieve that Aliens are visiting Earth NOW, but somehow keeping it secret enough that only a few unsubstantiated reports of them leak out.

does science say it;s possible? this is different from concrete proof...however,on a side...given the sheer size of the universe and the fact that our knowledge of how the earth was formed is speculative,it is only reasonable to assume that favourable conditions to the formation of intelligent, sentient life exists elsewhere, maybe life forms exist out there that may not look exactly like us but nevertheless there MAY be life/systems out there that have developed and function today as we do.

To date there is no good evidence. You'd think there would be but there's not.Video camera's are all over the place. Most scientists will say it's possible but it hasn't happened. All the conspiracy nonsense and outright fraud further clouds the issue.I don't believe they're here but I'm always watching the sky.

Just because something is possible doesn't mean it is likely. It is possible that a golden meteor will fall from the sky at your feet. do you think it would be reasonable to think this will happen? I don't.
