Less power, harder to upgrade grapghics and ram, ease of use. I personally like desktops becuase of the wide range of add-ons and upgrades you can do yourself with ease, but the draw back to a desktop is mobility

Well, when you're at home, you'll want a regular keyboard, mouse and 5.1 sound system. I would also want a larger monitor like a 20 or even a 24 inch. So you wind up paying 20 to 50% more for your computer. But I think its worth it because unless you travel quite a bit, most of your time is spend at home.
But its really need to go to a Star Bucks and have your laptop handy. I don't even drink much coffee. Hi Georgie.

The keyboard and mouse/touchpad on the laptop can be really touchy.
If you drop it, your screwed...

Overall if you can get one with the speed and specs that are needed for what you are using for. Then you should be fine. Its got alot more advantages I think.
