thank you for your answers!
i want to tell you that you're more nice than italian community of yahoo answer...they often say stupid things..
however i've never heard about our pay-toilettes! maybe an italian has made fun on you!
and for who thinks that the mafia there is everywhere in italy....to be honest, the mafia there is only in the south of italy, here in north we have not this problem.
i'm agree with who said that our church is not so good...i think it too.
if you want to say what we think about you... we like america, especially the driver license at the age of 16! many italians say that americans are all fat and nazionalist, but i think that this is a wrong generalization, like who thinks that italian always eat pizza and spaghetti...or always play the mandolino (i must still discover what is it!)

No, we don't hate Italians. There are many, many, many Italians, and Italian descendants living here. We love your food, and your beautifull women! Oh, lets not forget Ferrari's too! I would say that New York and New Jersey have a very large Italian population here.
Some people think that all Italians are in the mafia, but we know that's not true. So, we don't hate you, if you came to the U.S., you would see that many things today are influenced by the Italian culture.
Well, have a good day.....
Ciao!

I don't hate anyone based on their country of origin, so there is nothing I hate.
What I love...
-your food influences are the best...no question about it
-your accents are beautiful
-your passion for life and laid-back style of living
-your darker hair and skin tones are beautiful
-close family relationships
-did I mention the food?
Of course these things may make me sound like I'm sterio-typing Italians, but this is what I could think of. I do realize not all Italians look and act the same. I know a lot of people from other countries have many misconceptions about Americans.

I like Italians. I don't really know anyone that doesn't. Most Americans are very respectful and easy going with people of all nations. But if another country disrespects America and/or it's people in any way, you can expect a lot of hostile attitudes.

Most Americans love Italy and the Italians. We love the food, wine and beauty of Italy, and of course we love and miss the greatest tenor ever, our dear friend, the late Luciano Pavarotti. We also wish we could afford a Ferrari, hee hee.

Your English is perfect. In the early 1900s, Italians ... and Irish ... and many other Europeans were thought to be ignorant and untrustworthy. Happily, they have integrated into, and in fact created, America as we know it. I suppose there are some pockets where people discriminate against Western Europeans, but as a rule they are respected and treated equally.

I think Amerians by and large have a neutral to favorable opinion of Italians. So many of us are descendants it's hard not to. Although the same is true of the French but most Americans have an unfavorable opinion of them for many reasons...
Your english is fine.

I was in Italy this year, and overall the Italians treated us well, so I would say that I don't have any problems with Italians. Allthough I don't like your showers, too small. And I don't like paying a euro to take a piss. That sucks, but other than that you guys are alright.

Awesome food! I'd love to get over to your neighborhood some day and soak up some of your culture.
I think some of your clothing is a bit too pricey, though.
We're all God's children, just born in different places.
And don't worry, your english is much better than some of us can write/speak, and it isn't even our second language.
Take care, God bless.
