do you think that if you were on another planet, that you would be able to pick up the satellites signals?

Well they are directed at each other and the earth so i think this is a slim chance

It would not be hard to pick up signals at Venus or Mars from satellites but why bother? You can have an huge dish on earth that is very powerful. In space a satellite is limited in size and power.

No, because our satellites are beaming their low power signals in a tightly controlled direction toward Earth. But things like Earth based TV broadcasts go out in all directions at high power and could be picked up far from Earth.
