You can't restore to a future date - the future hasn't happened yet. You might want to try restoring to a past date instead.

What is computer restore function is for? It is designed to get the computer back to a condition that was working properly before it started to develop a problem. The date function here is to get you into sensing which condition was ok. Like asking “What have happened, this program was working last month ?”, then you need to restore it to a date earlier than last month, and so on.
When your computer is working fine you can make a restore point, to which you can get your computer back to any time, if it started to have a problem. … Good luck

You can't restore to a "future" date -- it hasn't happened yet. Try restoring to a past date.

you cant restore to future date unless you set your clock ahead then set restore point from there.
But if you want to restore your computer back to a date wherein the computer is running fine make sure you turn off your antivirus like norton then do system restore, if possible do it under safe mode.
hope it helps.

Hi. If you are patient this will work. Will take a bit of time though. If you are not patient, set your system clock ahead, create a System Restore point, then set it back. Not responsible for smoke or bad files.

"Future date" restoration requires a time machine. I'd let you use mine but it is out being painted this week.

If you follow Cirric's advice, please keep a fire extinguisher ready!!!
They main reason (among others) that the restore to a future point don't work is cuz ya dinna say "Abracadabra" first, or is it,
"Ibbidy, bibbiti, bobbity, boo,
Please Mr. Computer, restore to the future for me and you?"
;-)
