The fan came with weights to attach, but I don't have the instructions anymore. How do I know which blade to weight, and where on the blade do I put the weight?

Get a blade balancing kit that comes with several different weights. One of the weights clips onto the blades and then the others have self adhesive on the back.

To use the kit to balance your blades, begin by turning your fan to find the speed where you get the most wobble.

Turn the fan off again and then attach the clip-on weight to any blade -- about halfway down. Turn the fan back on and see if it helps. If not, keep moving the weight to every other blade until you get the best results.

Once you've isolated the "problem" blade, then move the weight up and down the length of that blade (stopping and starting each time) until you locate the spot where you get rid of the wobble.

Once you have found the perfect spot, place one of the sticky weights on the back side of the blade right about where the clip-on weight was positioned.

Finally, remove the clip-on weight, turn the fan on and you're done.

You have to play with the positioning of the fan blades and lossen and tighten the bolts. This is a real BEACH, best to buy a new fan. You can spend hours and not get it right.

Use a coin to create balance on one of the blades. Reposition the center motor housing, etc. Try a lower speed.
