I'm looking for something stylistically similar that shows off acting ability; I'm tired of my regular ol' choices.

Thanks in advance!

The first one that came to mind though it may not be great is Sixteen Going on Seventeen maybe because some of the lyrics (though not Liesl's actions or manner) apply to Beth though you could play it that way.

Anyway, I think I'm Not Afraid of Anything from Songs for a New World would be perfect though you'd have to make sure the accompanist could handle it since Jason Robert Brown is usually a no no because of the difficult piano arrangements. Or:

A New Life - Jekyll and Hyde
A Change in Me - Beauty and the Beast (the end)
Anything But Lonely - Aspects of Love
Far From The Home I Love - Fiddler on the Roof
God Help The Outcasts - Hunchback of Notre Dame
Goodnight My Someone - Music Man
Home - Beauty and the Beast
I Still Believe – Miss Saigon

Break a leg!!!

How about something from that era like "Meet Me In St Louis"; it's fun, upbeat and timely for the fashion of that time in history!

Someone to Watch Over Me...

Haunting, childlike, and sooo sweet.
