If we stop with the labels for a minute and just think of our communities, we will see how much more we have in common than in contention; an we will see that whichever side(s) we are on, there are members of the political opposition that we'd rather have a beer than some of the guys on our own sides. I have friends and colleagues of all political stripes. We respect each other, and work well together, even in crisis situations.
Also, I see support for the "system" falling by the hour. More and more people are working under the table, bartering time and goods, underreporting their taxable income, and so forth--also across the entire political spectrum.
As to what we have in common: we both value basic honesty and liberty, and we both love our families and neighbors. We all like music, we all enjoy a home-cooked meal, and we all need some lovin' from time to time....

I believe both liberals and conservatives have some kind of morality, although they may be different kinds and of different degrees. I believe both groups believe in basic civil rights. I believe both groups want the best for their children, although liberals are more likely to want it for other people's children, too. I believe both groups contain thoughtful people who give deep consideration to the world and the country's problems, they just reach different conclusions.
I also believe that socialists operate with no apparent understanding of human nature and will achieve no more success than any other religion. Just because the God you worship is the state doesn't make it any better.

Well, it depends if you are talking about the hijacked Conservatives or the "Real" conservatives
Real Conservatives believe in less spending, smaller Government and the strength in our Constitution
So they have a great deal in common with the Liberals
In fact you might say that "Real" Conservatives are now Liberals
There is your answer

Let's see, they both breathe air...they both would either convert, be relagated to 2nd class citizenship or be slaughtered if the Jihadi islamists had their way. Other than that, I'm drawing a blank.
