Don't get me started, but he acts like the bully on the playground. It's his way right or wrong.

Top 10 reasons that George W. Bush invaded Iraq.
10 - Because Saddam was personally responsible for 9/11; I mean because the US was under imminent threat of attack from Iraq; I mean, Saddam had weapons of mass distraction, I mean destruction programs, that he was selling to the Al-Qaeda and Taliban. Oh, wait a minute, now it's coming to me. Because we wanted to liberate the Iraqi people against a ruthless and mean dictator. Yeah, that's it. Like we said all along, Bush just wanted to liberate the Iraqi people.
9 - What is our oil doing under their sand?
8 - Did we mention 9/11 yet? Not that there is any evidence connecting Saddam to 9/11 but we'll just keep mentioning it (but we won't talk about the oil).
7 - Just because you are a chicken hawk, doesn't mean you can't give out a serving of whoop *** (as long as you get others to do it for you).
6 - Bush thought, "What is the stupidest thing I can do to get the whole world's opinion against the United States?"
5 - His advisors thought it was a good way to get his mind off the red button.
4 - Because he heard that Osama Bin Laden was in Pakistan.
3 - It had absolutely nothing to do with oil. Repeat, absolutely nothing to do with oil.
2 - North Korea has the nuclear bomb and everybody knew that Iraq didn't.
And the #1 reason Bush Jr. invaded Iraq - Cheney made him do it.

Saddam wanted to assassinate his "daddy".
WMDS
Ties with al queda
fake nuke program
free the iraqi people
protect American freedom
All total garbage. He wanted to find a reason to invade Iraq before 9/11 even happened. These reasons were merely peripheral to the issue of terrorism and have most likely been the single worst policy decision in our history. All supported lock step by republicans and people who call themselves conservatives, even past the point it was proven to be a disaster.

Actually, he's never changed the reasons for going into Iraq. However, after Saddam was overthrown and his government disbanded, the nature of the conflict changed from war against a government and army to an occupation and then counterinsurgency and rebuilding.
So the reason why we remain there is necessarily different from why we went there.
But the reasons for each have never changed.

There is only one reason. Strategic military positioning in the Middle East. Everything else just comes with it. Like oil.

Because of the majority of people who lack true support for this country, it seems to me every single president we put in office is destined for some criticism, no matter who the next president is, this country will never be satisfied, the sad part is those troops over there in Iraq are suffering for our lack of true honest support, it's easy to say I support the troops, but what is the actual support we give them......none, we can't even support our president, our troops take orders from our president, if our president has no support how can he make a clear decision, all I see him doing is putting up with a lot of BS from us, we are the ones who can make a clear decision, what's the guy got to do..........nail himself to a cross.

He said that we were going to war among other things because Iraq (and its terror regime) supported Al-Qaeda, which claimed to be responsible for 9-11 attacks, so basically by getting Sadam we'll be lead to Osama...now he says finding Osama is not a priority?!?
