It's very true. Becuz you don't tend to see the value of something until you no longer have it.

I guess this could be true....if it's something you "know you have" but, if it's a thing you have forgotten about? and your wife sees it in the closet? or you don't wear it no more? and she knows it don't fit no more? and "she" gets hold of it? well.."Kiss it good bye!" you'll never think about it again..and if you do? she will make up something like.."didn't you get rid of that long time ago dear?" (so innocently) and there is nothing you can do about it!....because "you don't know!" and it's gone forever...and, when she get away with that...good bye to the rest of your past life..old letters..pictures...jerseys...and you won't miss them...she will have something to do with some organization and ask for your "help" so, when you think of something? all she has to do is mention the giving you did to the contribution fund..... :)

Actually, its not always true. I had some boxes of papers and assorted other stuff stored in my basement. I was going to go through it someday. Two years later the basement flooded. All the boxes were destroyed, so I threw them out.
I couldn't tell you what was actually in them. I didn't know what I had even when it was gone. Sometimes loosing things is a great way to get rid of "baggage."

I believe that when you end a relationship you do so for a reason. And regardless what the reason, for whatever reason you feel it has to end. Of course you'll miss that person. Old habits are hard to break. It's usually not until that person is gone that you see the good in them but you have to stay focused on why you broke up with them to begin with.

I think it's true...
Because after someones gone, you remember everything about them, even the things that you forgot about long ago,You often realize that there were more good times than bad...I dunno..But I do think it's true.

True-My husband died seven years ago and I knew that I had the best man in the world. I never really told him how much I appreciated all the things he did, because I took those little things for granted. Now I know what I missed.

Very true. You don't know what you got is good until you have to face something nowhere near as good.

Yes, because human nature seems to lean towards taking things for granted.
