Yes I have and He is my son...He is a wonderful man but he drinks alot and I am concerned and told him so..He tells me not to worry he is ok...but I think he is oblivious to how much and how often he does drink...He usually never gets drunk enough to notice..but he drinks too much NOT to have it effecting his weight and way of living...I am anxious to follow up and hear what others have to say ...He hangs out with friends that also drink too much ...I wish he would find some others that would tell him...That might help since I am not able to at this time... I found most drinkers have to think they drink too much or have some major crisis before they stop..I pray not.

i used to have a step father that drank really bad. every chance he got paid, he would drink up all the money and then come home and beat my mom and me, until i was running out of the house begging neighbors for help, or to call the cops or something. i went to live with my grandparents by time i was 9 yrs old. i told my mom and now-ex-stepfather that i would never ever move back there again. i was more than some drunk's punching bag...

Alcoholism runs in my family. My Grandmother died from alcohol related problems. That was 30 years ago, and I was too young to have realized what was going on.
But I have talked to my brother about his drinking problem. He admits that he has a problem, but is unwilling to do anything about it yet. Physical addiction aside, it's a crutch for his incredibly depressing life.

I have a sister that drinks too much. I think she has a problem but I don't say anything because I honestly don't know what to say.

Yes, my best friend and my sister. I have come to realize it doesn't matter what you say, they will dow hat they want to do until they can't do it anymore or they die. At times they may stop for someone they love, but thats after some major life changing event makes them realize what they are doing.

Yes....usually they ignore you but make an effort to tell them how you feel! Maybe ask them to stop...take away their drink? You can only do so much to stop someone :(

It's me. Well, according to someone (denial). I never get drunk and I only drink about once a week. Is that too much?
