Everyone, side by side.
That is the way it would be.
We'd come together, screw the partisanship.
Peace

If this country does get invaded I don't think #1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 will matter. It will take off of us bonding together to save our nation.
America was founded as one great nation. We have begun to separate completely too much. With all of the other countries that we are defending it would be horrid to think of such a thing. First we would have to pull ALL of our troops out of other nations and bring them home. Home is most important.
We have a strong military base and a strong National Guard. But it will take a lot more than that in order for us to protect our big country.
It will take unity. Unity for one and all. No more bickering over party lines and divisions. It will take one united party pulling together for the good of our country.
I hope it never comes to this as there are a lot of stubborn people in politics today who really don't have their eye on the correct prize.
God Bless America!

Reality proves liberals to be those would be most likely to seek appeasement and/or join the side of the aggressors if it seemed to be the best way to survive.
Therefore:
1. Vets - 10
2. Liberals – 0 (probably appease or turn traitors (not all of them mind you, just the majority))
Edit: Ok... based on some of the responses from the YA libs lets raise this one to 6)
3. Conservatives - 8
4. Politicians - 2 (I agree with spleenwater saying some would "sell out" to a point, mostly in relation to the politicians)
5. Others - ?
just plain jim - Thumbs up. I sure hope you are correct.
Pip - Great work!

Vets surely would rank at 10.
I think all politicians would also rank at 10.
Common citizens, whether liberal or Conservative, would rank at 5.
Under the others category, I would put the people commonly considered the scum of society, people who feel they have nothing to lose, like felons at 10.
Under the least willing, the rich, who usually have others do their dirty work, would rank at 1

You are looking at it wrong.. it's more regional.
Southerners, no matter party get a 9
California gets a 2
Northeastern states get a 4
People from most major cities get a 5
Midwesterners get a 7.5
Anyone from Texas gets a 10... .... but they don't need an invasion to want to shoot people.. so I don't know if it counts....
95% of politicians get a 0

Your question is odd to say the least. If Our Country was invaded, WAS ACTUALLY INVADED by a foreign aggressor I would imagine that most people would defend their right to be alive no matter who they were or what their affiliation was.
We are however talking about the US invading another country though and whether or not those people in that country are responding properly to the situation.

Well, the politicians would run to the hills, so they cannot be counted on. I believe that vets would definitely step up to bat, and when it all comes down to it, I believe that cons and libs would both defend their property with the best of their ability.

i think you would find that every American with a gun would fight any invader....with the exception of many of the politicians.
many of them, both left and right, would sell out to maintain their place in the status quo. this is seen in any historical invasion. the very people appointed or elected to a nations highest offices are usually the first to cooperate with the enemy. i suppose they have stronger loyalties than to their country. like money perhaps.
sam bam...i AM a liberal, and i LIKE my guns and the fact that we can have them. guns are the last ditch stand against tyranny. DO NOT presume to tell me what "liberals" think. i am sorry if my opinions do not reflect your stereotypes. perhaps its time to stop thinking with your bias and start using your brain...

"and Obama retaliates via invading a rustic that a bipartisan committee of experts concludes had no ties to al-qaeda" Iraq and Afghanistan the two had ties to Al Qaeda. "will Republicans hail him as a hero?" properly, that relies upon on the rustic he invades. Canada? His birthplace, Kenya?
