Did his comment bother you? If it did, don't work there anymore. If nobody else heard the comment, you won't win if you sue him. It will be basically be your work against his. If the comment didn't bother you, just let it go. Sometimes we don't always say the politically correct thing but no arm is meant by it. Today everyone is looking to sue everyone else. Leave it alone unless it really disturbed you.

The man gave you a compliment, but if you want to get all touchy about it, it would be better for you if you took the raise, since it is the sure thing. If you try to sue there is a big possibility that you will lose. Then you'll have to pay for your lawyer, his lawyer and the court fees.

1st question, Is he married. Second, is he wealthy. See where im going with this one. No, ok, if hes married and wealthy start an affair with him, then blackmail him not only for the info getting to wife but also the sexual harrasment.

If hes broke and or single, sue him.

Did anyone else hear him? Are there cameras in your office? Is it verifiable? It still should be documented and brought to anyone above him. Other than that it would be your word against his and he'd probably win. But I'd still sue him - the office isn't a place for crap like that.

I would ask for a raise since he appreciates it so much and might want to keep it around for awhile.
