It can. Many people that are above the poverty level, cannot afford health care, given that it has doubled in the last five years. Any medical problem can bankrupt people at this level and often has, thus pushing them into poverty.

Yes I am agree that Poverty causes poor health, poor health causes poverty because when a person is with poor health He will not be able to earn enough money to buy food and to fullfill his food requirements and consequenly he will has poor health.Similarly he will,if has poor health,no be able to do proper work and so there will be poverty.

Poverty does not "cause" poor health. There are plenty of people who have lots of money that suffer from overeating, over indulging and lack of exercise.

This question is far too general. How are you defining poverty, anyway? To tribesmen in New Guinea food and shelter are wealth. To us they seem dirt poor. They are probably a lot healthier than the scientists studying them, though.

On the other hand, America's "poor" are more likely to be suffering from overeating and lack of exercise just like the rich.

Poor health is mostly behavior plus genetics plus prevalence of infectious diseases and a dash of unfortunate accident. In America, infectious diseases are pretty much under control.

Not necessarily. You could have poor health and be wealthy, in which case it is not likely to make you poor. Medical expenses are free at emergency rooms if you can't pay. Just get care and go into bankruptcy. Not a preferred move, but doable. I know people that have done it, and many years later with HARD WORK they can recover. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

That's a pretty general statement. If you're using this thesis for a paper, you'd also have to show objections to it as well.

For example: Someone in poverty may have an excellent immune system and is able to get by and stay healthy with what they have. And the head of the household gets in a car accident and is killed, sending his family in a state of poverty.

This isn't a foolproof theory.

Lack of economic opportunity causes poverty.

That is why countries whose governments obstruct growth have much poverty, and while countries whose governments allow growth have some poverty, most of it is imported.

In the US the number of poor people goes up by between 200,000 and 250,000 per year. ...... And we import about 1 million poor people, legally and illegally combined, per year.

Do the math.
