Many have a valve on the heater hose under the hood, when you turn on the heat it open and let hot water flow into the heater core. It may be stuck closed.

Im pretty sure your car has a heater core bypass that opens and closes by vacuum. It might not be opening and closing. Or your heater core is plugged up and not letting hot water through to your blower motor. I would check for the bypass first it's on your heater tubes running from your engine to the left hand side of your firewall.

Make sure the actual controls are functioning properly on the dash. These are vacuum operated and may be at fault and although you are moving lever to HOT it is not going to the temperature.
But I have also heard of Grand Ams needing to have there heating cores replaced - it could be that which is a bigger issue then the controls.

I'd say one of two things....Heater coil for one reason or another (either a split in the coil itself, or the switch controlled by your thermostat is shot), or something MUCH more common on Pontiacs....your heat is being generated, just not moved....check your fan....My roommate just had to replace his fan on his 99 Grand Prix....

could be several things. the control isn't opening so you can have heat, the heater coil is plugged and needs replaced, the thermostat could have when bad already. best to just drive down to your friendly gas station and if they have a mechanic on duty as him or her what they think

take it in have the mechanic check the heater core that might be your problem why you don't have any heat.
Or you could have your hubby (if married) or BF check it I don't know if Pontiac has the heater core under the dash or on the firewall
Ok bye

May just be the ducts, or possibly faulty dashboard...
