There's a informal fallacy called "false analogy" where a person attempts to equate two things which has similar characteristics but which are not actually equivalent. Yours is so absurd it almost escapes notice. Haym Solomon is not equivalent to the nation of Israel, regardless of any common heritage.

I don't think America should be supporting Israel because it damages America's position in the Middle East. America should be objective. I agree with Dennis Kucinich's position. I support Israel's right to exist though something must be done for the Palestinian people. I believe I have heard of Solomon. This country owes a lot of debt to England too. It seems that all debts should be wiped clean and a new start to begin. Why is it right for other generations to continue to pay for past debts? It must stop!

Have you ever heard of the USS Liberty? It was an American Navy ship that was sank by Israeli planes in the Red Sea. The Israelis claim they misidentified it as a ship that was in harbor hundreds of miles away. Survivors testified that they were flying an American flag, had attempted radio contact with no response, and had made visual communication via flags with the planes before the attack was initiated. They also testify that the planes machine gunned life boats that were launched as the ship was sinking. The Israeli government has never even apologized. Support Israel? I say we nuke it.
