Yes, letting haters wipe Israel off the map wouldn't benefit us or the world. I actually wish the world would just let Israel take care of business.

Every dime we've given to Israel has brought us a 500% return with a thriving, stable ally in the Middle East. Too bad other countries who take our aid can't use it so wisely.

Personally, I don't think the US has a duty to protect anyone from anyone, unless our own national interests are at stake. Israel would probably be a good one to at least watch, because if you have Hamas come in and take over the area, it's likely you'll get a few terrorists in with them who would love nothing better than to see a smoking pile of ash between Canada and Mexico (unless, perhaps, it's the sight of all 300 million people in that area praying to Mecca five times a day).

For those ignorant fools that say we get nothing from helping Israel, we get a nuke free world. If we didn't protect Israel and let loose the leash we have them on, one of the fanatical Muslims states would attack them and trigger Israel to toss a few dozen nukes at them.

Israel will not go quietly again and will make all the Arab lands into glass parking lots before they go. That is a fact and that is why we hold them back and protect them.

Israel is a mighty force as shown in the war with Egypt. A tiny little country took mighty Egypt out in 6 days. The Israeli army is a highly trained force and are not held back by the whiny libs like OUR military is.

EVERY civilized nation has an obligation to protect Isreal......but just like before we turn a blind eye. And for those above who apparently don't know it......we DO get involved in ALOT of other countries affairs.....why is Isreal any different ? My husband just spent 4 MONTHS this past year " patroling "off the coast of South Korea.....if that wasn't an attempt to influence Korean politics.....then why the H*LL were we over there ? I'm guessing that many of you didn't even know that we were.....

The US is not the world police, our tax dollars are not the worlds, our military not the worlds. We can try and help establish relations between the two using economic resources but our military force can never create a long term relationship. When will we learn that. I am tired of being assessed taxes to fund Israels protection from Hamas. I am tired of my friends getting shot at and killed for someone elses war. There are other better means to assisting Israel than military force.

The U.S. has neither a duty nor an obligation to protect Israel.. Israel can protect itself. Israel is not an oppressed nation.

No. Israel can take care of herself with the financial help she currently gets from the US.

BTW, Hamas is not an "Arab nation."

I agree that oppression and murder are wrong, but do you think the US should act as a global police force and intervene in every country where oppression and murder take place? If so, what sets Israel apart from, say, North Korea, Myanmar, or the Sudan? Come to think of it, do you think we should intervene in the affairs of those countries, as well?

Israel was founded by terrorists like the Irgun.

The modern Israeli patries all have their roots in such organizations .
Arabs fight it because unlike brainwashed ill-informed Americans they understand its true racist and expansionist intent.
