Great question. This subject angers me and I am so frustrated that I don't have a voice in this matter. They have already given back nearly all of what they gained in 1967.

The so-called "Palestinians" are not a homogeneous people, but rather a mixed conglomerate of workers with no cohesive organizational or political skills, they have repeatedly not been given a state.

When the Jordanians and Egyptians controlled the so-called West Bank and the Gaza Strip for 19 years (1948 to 1967), there was never a thought of giving the disorganized mass of "migrant workers" a state. Why? Because they knew there was no cohesive, homogeneous people known as "Palestinians."

The current efforts of Jordan and Egypt (and all the rest of the Muslim Middle East nations) to give these same people a state is clearly a ploy to get a foothold inside Israel. It is a strategic accommodation to establish a base from which the final assault against Israel can be made. What they couldn't do militarily is now being facilitated through the United States and the E.U. Very sad, and to our discredit.

Asking Israel to give up part of Jerusalem is only remotely similar to asking California to give a portion of its state to Mexico.

It isn't just about the poplulation living there. Jerusalem is a holy city to all 3 major religions.

There are radicals, moderates, and liberals on both sides of the equation.

Peace in the Middle East is seen by many as the key to peace in the rest of the world. And many also believe that the only realistic solution to the peace process is a two-state solution.

You need to understand the land they are asking them to give up was taken by Israel illegally nearly 50 years ago. Let's ignore the legalities of how Israel even acquired its land to start with. The 'radicals' just want their land back that was stolen from them. If anyone is conquering in that region, it's Israel.

Matt D got it exactly right. The whole world would be a safer and better place if the USA government minded it's own business.

Well Israel needs to step up to these arrogant paper pushers in our government as do we. America has no say what the Israelis have to give up it's their land we have no control over them. Our country needs to keep it's ****** nose outta other people's affairs.
