I saw what happened last night it was terrible, how could a team like N.Y. lose at home?........ TO THE FREAKIN INDIANS?

The Indians are a lot better team than the Yankees so they should have lost. It will be a long time before the Yankees are even in another World Series, never mind winning one.

The Indians are good. They're scrappy, they get clutch two out hits and they have good pitching. Baseball, unlike basketball and football, is so much more about who plays the best than who has the best players. You can have a fantasy team but if everyone doesn't do their jobs and things don't fall into place, they won't win.
Most teams don't win that often. Seven years is nothing compared to how long some of us have been waiting.

I know it's been a while, but It's not that big of a deal. Not for me, anyway. I got to see them win in 96, 98, 99 and 2000. I guess if you didn't get to witness that, it must seem like a hundred years, but it feels like yesterday to me.
It hasn't exactly been 86 years or 90 years, like it was for some other teams. It's only been 7 years. And considering there are 30 teams, the odds of winning are slim. And don't pay any attention to the whole "Yankees haven't won in this century" crap. It's only 2007, we haven't exactly reached the half century mark.
The Yankees will win it sooner than later.

Like my other answer Yankees are the joke of baseball. The owner spend millions on players to see if he could buy his way to the World Series, it funny that Yankees can not make it!
Maybe he should try getting players that can play instead of trying to buy his way there!

The Yankees will win anthor world series when they get PITCHING!!! That is what killed them all post season....did not get quality starts from the staters except Andy and the bullpen was not solid...When they get A GOOD PITCHING STAFF THAT BEATS GOOD HITTING.... Case in point The Tribe shut down the Yanks line up!!!
Also when they get rid of Mattingly he is cursed!!! They didnt win when he played and the year after he retired they won it all and 3 more....he comes back as a coach and they dont win!!!

I have the same answer that I have had since the last one we won......"wait 'till next year!".....the youth in our pitching corp is my hope for a better future....good luck to the Sox and the Indians....they earned it! GO YANKEES!
