If you don't have a spare piece of paper, do you jot down an address or phone number in a book?

Maybe a phone book but not one of my normal reading books. I treasure my books!

No. None of our books look like they have ever been read even though all of them have been read several times. Well we do have one that was basically destroyed by a co-worker of my husbands, pages falling out. A signed copy of a book that I had gotten for my husband on our first anniversary. Yes, I am still a little ticked off about that. But no we don't write in our books.

All the time, which makes me mad later because if its a book I really like, I've ruined it by writing some dude's phone number (that I don't even call) in it!

No no no, I highlight in my books and write stuff to look up, but I have an extremely good memory so I can remember names, messages, and telephone numbers

I have written my name, address & my phone number on my all books; even then after lending, books are not received back.

Yeah, once in school I drew one a ball bouncing from one end of the page to the other. But on different pages so that when yo flipped them fast it was like the ball was moving.. it was a masterpiece.

yes but i always use a pencil so i can erase it after i write it down on a piece of paper
