Documents to be deposited with insurers include Original Bill of Repairs / Replacements, Cash memo, Payment Proof etc., for finalization / disposal of claim by the Insurance Company.

Why don't you visit www.indiabike.com/insurance/claim_procedure.htm

Cash on private sales is the norm. You - or your mechanic - or both should ride it before the sale is completely final. If the seller will not let you ride it (which he may not) you should write into the bill of sale a time period (say 1 hour) in which you can bring the bike back (if you find something wrong with it) in the same condition and he hands you back your cash and you hand him back his signed title (undated) and don't fill out the buyer part yet. Assuming the bike is ok - you fill out the buyer info date it and take it to the DMV. Do make SURE that the registration is paid up current (or the bike has been non-op status). California continues to accrue registration fees and penalties if the owner has not paid them. when you go the DMV you gat a nasty surprise! I bought a $2000 bike once and got to the DMV and they said $500 due in fees for 3 years back. I got them down to 50cents on the dollar - still expensive.

Cash means cash. That's all you need for a private sale.
All I ever used, actually.

And when I bought the last one at a dealer, they wanted to see my license. But that was only because they wouldn't let an unlicensed rider ride it off the lot. I could have pushed it out the drive if I wanted, but riding was easier. And I have a license.

You just need proof of residence to buy a bike on cash such as driving license, voters card, ration card, passport, any one of these, but you must have a driving licence to drive a bike, so it is enough

None. Only, if it is Motored one, you need Ration Card or any document confirming your residential status, for registration, of the vehicle, along with two photographs.
