Whether the media give Indians pitchers credit or not, I know I do. They have some very good pitchers in their club. I think with the media, they were used to a different Yankee Club(the one everyone referred to as the Bronx Bombers). I don't know why people in the media doesn't realize, that team doesn't exist, anymore. Not like it was a few years ago. They're a different club now, and I think it's high time the media start covering things the way they should be covered. So, Joe Torre might lose his job, that happens every day somewhere in this country. Maybe one day, the media will realize teams like the Indians, Diamonbacks and Rockies actually have good teams, and they deserve to be talked about.

That's what I can't stand about the media. The media talking heads will find any way to talk about the Yankees. I was watching Sports Center this morning. It was all about the Yankees possibly firing Torre, what the new look Yankees will look like next year, who will be gone and who will be re-signed, etc...
There was very little mention about the Indians beating the Yankees with solid pitching and timely hitting. I mean Cleveland outscored the Yankees 15-2 with 2 outs!!! You don't get much more clutch than that. Kenny Lofton had 6 RBI's in the first two games with 2 outs and runners in scoring position. The media will find any reason to talk about the Yankees, but they need to realize that anybody east of New York can't stand to hear it all the time. Unfortunately because the Yankees continue to put cash in the network's pockets, we will have to deal with it.

Good pitching always beats good hitting. Look at the '03 Marlins (they beat the Yanks and Beckett was unbelievable). Wang was horrible and the Yanks bullpen wasn't lights out either. Carmona threw great and the Indians bullpen shut the Yankees down for the most part of the series. Also, when you are playing catch-up in every game, it makes it more difficult on the offense. They start pressing and trying to do too much.

All the media kiss the yankees asses. I got really tired watching this series. All I kept hearing was the media making excuses for the yankees losing. They couldnt seem to admit the Indians were just a better team.

I know what you mean. Cleveland was clearly better in every aspect of the game. The same thing happened last year when the Tigers beat the Yanks. Then it was all about how the Yankees failed and nothing about how Kenny Rogers and the bullpen got it done. Congrats to the Indians.

That is the Yankee way. The NY media never gives credit to anyone else. Watch the pitiful YES channel analysts, they are always talking about the greatest franchise int he history of sports. No class, no humility.
