We can't get rid of everything that pollutes. Each breath we take converts some oxygen to CO2. Its not an all or none situation. This does not mean that we can't and shouldn't make some large-scale changes to our lifestlyes to reduce the amount of unecessary pollution.

Somehow we have been brainwashed into thinking that things like internal combustion engine cars are as necessary as breathing. They are clearly not. We have to do a better job of thinking more carefully about what is and what isn't actually necessary.

We can and must change our ways if we want to preserve all the natural wonders of this planet, and to leave some clean air and clean water behind for the next generation.

It all starts with us looking at our own lives and seeing what we can do to SIGNIGFICANTLY reduce our consumption of the world's limited resources. I'm not saying that everyone has to but for example many many more people could make do without a car.

I got rid of my car 7 years ago and now I go everywhere by bike (and occassionaly a bus). I'm happier, healthier, I don't pollute as much AND I have more disposable income while working less. There are many other solutions out there we just have to throw off the shackles of advertising and materialism and make better choices. We DO have choices.

It is impossible, manufacturing would have to shut down ,and all cars would have to stop running, and this is just the beginning.
