Your question is too vague. You didn't indicate whether it's a laptop/notebook or desktop ("open" to some, non-English speaking people is the same as "turn on"), how old it is, what operating system it has, when it was last serviced (if ever), whether you dropped the unit recently, etc, etc, etc.
Sometimes, a tiny piece of plastic or rubber breaks off from the inside of laptop/notebooks, and just manages to wedge itself by the power button.
It also may be something as simple as a "stuck" on/off/reset button, in which case, you can try to air-blast it clean from the outside.
Given your lack of details, I'd strongly advise against any self-repair, other than the air-blaster. Take it to a computer supply/retailer/repair shop.

You haven't described the problem in enough detail. Does the computer make a 'beep' noise when you first press the power button? What shows on the screen - is it blank? Does it shows the DOS start up? Does the windows screen appear? At what point does it freeze? Do you get any error messages?

I just fixed that same problem I had, all by myself. This may be a little bit technically confusing for you, but you have to replace your processor. The silver thermal compound must be replaced as well. I recommend printing out this page, taking the page and your computer to a computer specialist somewhere like Best Buy, and having this done.

If you didn't make that backup like you and everyone else is supposed to then re-install the OS. If problem persists it is Hardware.
