Has anyone other than myself ever wondered if some of these people asking questions are really baseball fans? Think about it, someone just types things like "NYY love or hate??", "Don't you just hate the Red Sox??", "NYY and Detroit don't you hate them??" For some reason I just get the feeling that people want to stir up feelings, and make people argue. Does anyone out there agree with me?

(I know there are real fans out there - you're the ones who actually know your team and know the game, so I am NOT talking about you).

I completely agree. I dish out my share of trash talk, but in the same breath, I also try to answer every question with a stat or argument to back up my point. For example, on the Yankees, I dish out that they are a bad team and deserved to lose, but also backed it up saying they got outscored 15-2 by Cleveland with 2 outs. There are so many people in here that have no knowledge of the game or reason behind their comments except to start something. And I completely agree with the one who said that the real questions that need an answer only get 4 responses, but the emotional questions such as "Do the NYY suck?" get 20 responses. People can knock me and block me (Georgie Porgie) because they say I have no knowledge of the game. I have a lot of knowledge of the game. I've studied it for years and follow it religiously. You just hate on me or block me because I am to open minded to not agree with your points.

You are right, most people on here are not true fans of the sport and really could not tell you much about their own team. You see questions like that getting starred but when you ask real good trivia or historical type questions you four respones, half of which are "who cares the Yankees blow" or something along those lines, and no one has the nuts to star it because they may look intelegent.

There are a lot of band wagon jumpers out there. That's why TBS overplays the 2004 post season in the lead up to this year. Boston fans have nearly doubled since then, leading them to cast the Sox as some kind of modern dynasty, even that is not how history played out. Much goes out to Red Sox fans who have to wade through all the band wagoneers. Remember your heritage boys, and call me when you're at 26.

To all the true Baseball fans they say our sport is boring, lackluster and a waste of time. I've been on other pages checking different answers, and Baseball always has questions on it. They ask the yes-no questions because they are easy to answer, and it boost their point tally.

I joined answers to be around people who love the game as much as I do, not to answer bonehead questions. Say what you will allot of good things happened this season, and I can't wait till next year to see happens to my SPORT!!!!

I love the Indians and I like to trash talk. I guess I am not a real baseball fan because I trash talk.

I really enjoy how people question if people are really fans of baseball or not over the internet.

That's pretty much what the entire sports Answers has become. No one wants to discuss/ask questions anymore.

I agree. People who ask these questions are just wanting to start stuff. Theyre pointless. Nothing to debate! I saw one question that said, do you like baseball, if not why!!! WTF??? Ask intelligent questions so we can have something to actually debate. Not just stupid YES OR NO questions.
