They haven't bought it for 7 years now and before that, it was more earning than buying.
Don't be a sore winner, congratulate the Indians on their success, not ridicule the Yankees for a failure.

As a diehard Indians fan, I am elated the Yanks bought the farm this year. As for Torre, we probably have no idea what he has put up with from King George over the years. I think it was very poor timing to bring up Torre's job during the playoffs. If they thought the bugs in Cleveland were a distraction what the heck was a job ultimatum? I hate the Yankees but have nothing against Torre. All these posts crying about trash talk - I am glad to see someone write that Indians fans were being told our team sucked and we would get swept. Then it was about the bugs and not the Indians getting any props. We won fair and square. One of the runs last night for NY should not have happened as Byrd has a third strike not called - the replay clearly showed the batter did not check his swing. Indians won, now on to Boston. Let NY drama stay behind in NY.

i acutally dont remember any yankee fan saying that this series was going to be easy. the whole season has been a struggle and we should be proud of our accomplishments. we came from nothing. we were in last place. the worst record in the league. we knew the indians had a good team and knew that it would be tough. the indians played an incredible 4 games. we fought and fought but just didnt have enough. their pitching was insane and unhittable and their bats just didnt let up/ the indians deserved this win and i hope they go on to win the world series.
as for mets fans. at least we can say we made it. im tired of mets fans having no class and being so against the yankees. grow up. you are all just bitter that your team lost it in the end. and to make matters worse the phillies didnt even make it. it must sting that the phillies got swept. grow up!

Well, I'm not a Yankee's Fan but, I am a Boston Red Sox fan. I am from NH but grew up in MA, so needless to say I am a die hard fan. I am quite happy that the Yank's are out !!

If you're a Red Sux fan, you guys are NOT going to go to the World Series. The Indians are going to kick your @$$. I'm a Yankees fan, but since the Yankees are out, I'm rooting for the Indians. Go Indians!

sorry but brettj66. the yankees fans had it coming. all thay did was talk we were gonna get swept and indians sucked and yankee nation rules.. so yankee fans had it coming. who knows what will happen in ALCS..all i know is were there. step #1 done..on to the redsox. good luck tribe...
although a true indians fan.. i dont think joe torre should get fired. hes a good manager...george should of kept quiet until ALDS was over before running his mouth...
