He's gonna end up like Imus someday... and with good reason...

The point of a moderator is to moderate and be neutral while asking questions. It doesn't mean to give all the politicians easy questions that make them look good but it also doesn't mean that the moderator should rig the questions to give some politicians a pass while tripping others up on purpose. I hardly think that Bill Oreilly is neutral on a lot of issues so he shouldn't moderate a debate between republicans and democrats. However, if it's just a republican debate, I don't see why not.

That being said, what you see on TV is NOT debating. They're short one line answers to complicated questions designed to oohh and ahh the audience. A trained monkey can do those 'debates'. A real debate is do or die time where you stand or fall on your answers and most people cannot debate themselves out of a wet paper bag.

Yes I would because he would ask the questions the ameriican people want answered.I would also like for him to moderate the demorcratic debates the way Chris Mathews is moderating the republican debates, but I know he wouldn't be invited because his line of questioning would bring out their true agendas.Liberals fear Bill O'reilly, thats why very few go on the factor to debate him. He asks real questions which require real (no spin) answers.

Absolutely not!!

Why?

Because the debate would be about O'Reilly and not the candidates.

He would be asking questions such as, "Do you watch CNN and not Fox News?", "Do you think that Fox News is a mouthpiece for the Bush Adminstration?", and "Why do you think I get attacked by the other MSM all the time?"

That dude has such a big ego that he attacks others as being unAmerican if they disagree with him on any issue.

Even Fox Noise is even smart enough to know that Bill is a radical and they wouldn't want to risk it.

When Bill would start his antics, the majority of the viewers would turn the channel and that is a given!

It would be an absolute joke and farce!

No.
I get a kick out of O'reilly. He is truly an interesting phenomenon.
However, he is a blatant, shameful self promoter, for which I give him credit.
The liberal media does the same thing but tries to hide it.
He just doesn't care what anyone thinks. You have to respect that.
I want to find things out about the candidates in a debate, not about the moderator.
I already know all I need to about Bill O'reilly.

Sure why not if Chris Matthews can moderate why not Bill?

If we really want to have fun like to see Michael Savage moderate a democrat debate that I would pay to see if any would show up.

I can see 4 don't have sense of humor.

I like the one about facing Republicans but not Democrats why because they couldn't stand tough questions?

No he'd probably just drop the ball like when he interviewed Jesse Jackson and didn't ask him any tough questions at all but instead lobbed him softballs in order to be able to book other guests and not look like the mean jerk he likes to project himself as but isn't. he's just a ratings hound with a tough guy image that appeals to right wingers who like to feel like tough guys too.

Why yes! He could shout down the Democrats and cut them off before they could make a point. You must be a member of Rush's cult?

Do you think he could keep his mouth shut and not give his own opinion long enough to let the candidates speak? I don't.

For the republican primary absolutely. He would do a better job determining the differences between the candidates.

I do not think, however, he has any place moderating a democratic debate.

I think Bill would make a descent moderator for a debate, sure why not.
