Never, and I am not stupid...yet a 6 year old can do it quickly. There is a trick to the damned thing that can align all colors in as little as 9 moves! I never read the cheat sheet, my forte is crosswords and Bridge...I will leave that stuff to my grandson.
Speaking of games, has anyone purchased the Wii for their grandkids? I just bought one for mine, almost fell over when it was rung up! 450.00 with the "warantee" and one set of games, one extra set of controls! To top that off, there was only one store in an entire metropolitan area that had any of the things...trips to see the grandkid can get expensive fast...I figure that with air fare, car rental, the Wii, I dropped about 1800.00 for a 4 day outing. Now this was not in the budget. I think I will stay home for quite a few months right now. Now, I have a question for you all...Am I the only grandparent here who has to do all the running, all the flying, all the phoning, all the work to getting together with their kids and grandkids? It would seem that there is a pattern going on here that, frankly, I am getting tired of. I live within 15 minutes of Disneyland, and just about everything any visitor could want, yet there is always a reason that Grandad is the one who foots the bill and does all the traveling. Truthfully, I am getting too old to do this flying thing much more...I hate flying! Please ring in and let me know if anyone else finds this pattern. Goldwing.

1) 6-week olds don't have the motor skills necessary to move a rubik's cube. 2) A rubik's cube is a horrible crib toy, especially for a baby that likes to bite things because all those little squares can come apart and are perfect choking size for a baby. 3) What the hell should you be doing? Well, first off, lose the drugs or alcohol or whatever is making you think this way, get plenty of sleep, then take up a more useful hobby than trolling in sections totally unrelated to your "question."

I lasted about 1 1/2 minutes before I threw it away LOL .
I suppose that says something terrible about my brain or lack of, but I have the distinction of being one of the few people my age to have never done a rubiks cube. HA!

About 20 yrs. ago once. After watching my older children solve it for months I tackled it alone to prevent embarrassment and finally got it. I always was impressed by those that picked up made the turns in a matter of minutes solved the puzzle.

Yes, I had a cheat book when I was younger and memorized it. I could then do the cube in about 58 seconds. Never again though. Haven't tried it in years.

No, I never got close. I actually forgot all about those contraptions until I watched a movie recently with Will Smith called "The Pursuit of Happiness" where it was a wiz in figuring it out. Good movie too!

I used to do it in about 2 minutes but now i'd take two days. That was also 25 years ago.
