I give the Cowboys all the credit in the world! I'd love to have Tony Romo on my team. There are only about 3 QB's in this league that I would want, Peyton Manning and Tom Brady are the obvious ones. Romo is the 3rd, and I have no problems listing him with those 2. Every QB has a bad game. Despite throwing 5 INT's and losing a fumble, Romo has the greatest mindset of a QB that I have ever seen. He remained calm and cool, forgot about the turnovers, and made the critical passes when he had to. I mean c'mon, 13 seconds left, he completes two short passes to get to the 35 yard line to set up the game winning field goal. That cool, calm drive AFTER turning the ball over 6 times?!? The guy is unique and one of a kind. The Bears had a similiar win last year on Monday night against Arizona. It's not how bad your team plays, it's how good they finish, and the good teams find ways to win at the end. The Cowboys are a good team.

I agree with you on one fact, the cowboys can only play who's on their schedule. That still doesn't change the fact that they haven't played anyone, and are a team who is going to be 5-1 after this weekend. Face it, Bills are the worst team in the league, and made a couple mistakes themselves(an interception in the red area cost them 3 points, a 3rd down and 2 and they ran a reverse instead of just getting the first, the refs didn't give them the correct penalty on a horse collar which would have put them in field goal range). The cowboys got some lucky breaks and ended up escaping a young inexperienced team that ranks 2nd to last in total offense. A team that New England beat 38 to 7 by the way.
As far as New Englands schedule, hasn't been too hard. However, New England has played some good offenses, Cincy and Cleveland. Dallas hasn't played a team thats good on either side of the ball(Bears are 23rd in Total Defense). Dallas has also played the bottom of the Barell offenses.
Dallas has only one advantage on Sunday, that they are at home. That is not enough to make up for the superiority of the Pats and New England will win by at least 14, and what will we hear from you come sunday night?

I've been a Cowboys fan since I was 7 yers old, but they played poorly last night. Well, Romo played poorly, and the special teams unit wasn't much better. Thank goodness for the defense and T-New's interception. I think that was the key play that turned the game around, even though the Cowboys didn't score as a result. They backed into that win, but a win is a win. And it gives them the first 5-0 start since 1983. That bodes well for the future.
T.O. needs to work out the dropsies, hopefully Romo exorcised his gremlins, & Nick Folk needs a solid gold Bentley full of pizza & hookers delivered to his doorstep this morning. That guy is money!
Even if they lose against the Pats, the Vikes are next, & they have nothing except for Adrian Peterson. So they could go into the bye 6-1. Not a bad start to the season.

I'm not a Cowboys fan, but I don't hate them either. They may be 5-0, but I think their performance last night showed some cracks in their system. Its lucky for them that they pulled off a win from a game where their weaknesses are so obvious; they learned as much as a team can learn from a loss and still got the W. I was fired up for that rookie kicker too, ******* awesome to kick a career long FG twice in a row to win it in a high pressure game. However, I still have my doubts about how good the Cowboys actually are. We're only a quarter of the way through the regular season and Romo has already imploded. For a QB who hasn't started a full season yet, this could be devastating. If he starts freaking out and can't get T.O. the passes he wants, I can see the Cowboys falling apart by week 10. Basically you have to hope their season hasn't peaked already and that Romo can rebound in the next game or two. If he does, you know he can live up to the hype.

I thought last nights game was one of the best I have ever seen. After the INT's Romo could have just wimped out like Manning and started sniveling on the side lines. But he didn't. You have a good quarter back. I really wanted them to win last night, because I want my team to beat an undefeated team on Sunday. That's right, America's real team. The New England Patriots. lol.
But congrats, anyway. Don't let em get to ya. Look what I have had to put up with for the last three weeks. Ya got a good team. Be happy.

its not jealousy. just that some people hate teams that win by luck. the cowboys got really lucky last night, you have to admit that. there's no jealousy swirling around at all. we know the cowboys have a shot at the super bowl, cause the nfc is weak. you know a conference is weak if you know you're going to the super bowl. thats common sense. if you were in the afc, you'd be saying, well, gotta get by these other 5 teams before making it. america's team? lol. you texans still make me laugh. alright, maybe suppose the cowboys do have the most fans population wise. did you realize the state of texas is the 2nd largest in the nation? 75% of that are cowboy fans, which would be more than the entire state of New York. this fact explains why there are few cowboy fans around the nation outside of texas. yes, they do exist, but they are not everywhere. if you do your homework you would realize the packers have the largest fanbase. what i mean by this is they have the most packer bars around the nation, and supporting areas around the nation. so, jealousy? no. i don't think anyone should be jealous of anyone at this point in the season. cowboys have a good team, but its sad if you think the playoffs are gonna be a cakewalk.

How do you go week after week "playing somebody"? Every year you have two or three stand out teams, three or four really good teams, three or four really bad teams, and then about half the league lost in mediocrity. Every team cannot be 5-0, you get there by showing up well practiced and ready to play. 5-0, 0-5, each team is there for a reason.

And they won despite Folk having to kick the two 53-yard field goals because of that ridiculous rule allowing a coach to call time one second before the ball is snapped. Of course he probably wouldn't have made that second FG against a stronger team. {sarscam}.
Being a long time Dallasite and Cowboy fan I am used to the Cowboy hate for no apparent reason. They even hate us during our bad, losing seasons so I've learned to just let them wallow in their hate.
ETA: MD Terra & James N - Like it or not, they are known as America's Team (since 1979) and they did not start calling themselves that.

First of all, they are NOT 'America's' team. Secondly, I do give them alot of credit for pulling off a crazy win at the end of regulation. You're right you do not pick your schedule and going 5-0 is not easy in the NFL, regardless of who you play.
That being said, the Cowboys are NOT as good as the Pats. Yes, the Pats have not really played any good teams, but they have decisively destroyed each team they have played. I think they beat the cowboys by 10+ next week.

Yada yada yada. Here we go with the bandwagonners. It is typical for wanna be football fans (those that just want to appear to like the game so they can hang out or converse with others) to pull out all the tough talk. Patriots Cowboys, or Packers you name it they are the teams Du jour at the moment. These are the same fans that were all fired up over LT and the Chargers last year. They just jumped off that ship and onto another.
