ok, so , there is a guy at my work, who dresses like a woman. He/she feels that it is okay to use the women's restroom. I don't feel like this should be allowed. It makes me feel uncomfortable knowing a man is in the woman's restroom. Apperently, it hasn't had it's surgery, so it still has all it's parts. Now, I couldn't care less if it had all it's parts or not, i still don't think this should be allowed. MAnagement at my job are letting him use the restroom, and saying that if us women don't like it, then leave the bathroom while he is in there.. i DON'T think this is right at all!..... what do u think?

It has nothing to do with me thinking he will try and be a crossdressing perv or anything,... it's the freaking principle!!! if I were to decide to dress up as a man tomorrow, would that justify me using the man's bathroom?!?! hell no it wouldn't.. they just think that they can get sued by him for discrimination, when they are not thinking about the rest of the women here... the womens bathroom is for WOMEN

I think there needs to be a point where someone draws the line.. like, "ok dudegirl, we are cool with u dressing like a woman, but as far as joining the women in the bathroom is taking it too far."

I'm in agreement with you on this one.

Post-op transsexual is one thing, pre-op trasvestite is another.

No matter if, as a guy, he likes to wear Victoria's Secret or not....if all the god-given genetic parts are there, he's still male by simple definition. In turn, he shouldn't be using to the female bathroom until he's full post-op.

Discrimination? I fail to see how it is.
The guy is a guy, not a lady (his junk proves it)...there's no grounds there to make a discriminatory claim, much less one strong enough to stick in court.

Nor should you, as a lady, have to leave the women's can just because some tranny wants to use it too.

I really don't understand this country anymore.

there is not any regulation against employing the womens room once you're a guy and vice versa. No you probably did no longer something incorrect. purely tell the director what occurred (that the sink interior the adult males's room needs to be restore! and which you knocked and made effective no person became into interior the ladies human beings's room till now entering). they simply made an assumption which you used the bathing room and that per danger they concept you didnt care if it became into the ladies human beings's room. you probably did no longer something incorrect.

The fact that you're referring to this individual as "it" indicates that you really wouldn't feel comfortable with him using either restroom.
You're management is certainly correct in a legal sense. They cannot discriminate against a transgendered individual by forcing them to use one restroom or they other. Imagine if they told you, "We think you look like a man, so you're going to have to use the men's restroom from now on." You would be incensed, and rightly so, because they can't decide what sex you are.
If this individual identifies as a woman, and uses the women's restroom (just like you - wouldn't you feel uncomfortable in the men's?), you will just have to deal with it. Not everything in life is going to be a comfortable situation for you, and surely they spend the majority of their time elsewhere (not the restroom)? Work around their schedule if you feel you really have to.

Campaign for your cause and if you can manage, create a job opening called "parts" checker in firm where you work. This person will be stationed in front of women's restroom and check people "parts" and allow/prevent entry based on whether the "parts" are male or female.

If you can manage to get VISA to your country for the worker as well, I can volunteer to take up the job once in a while.

This will solve your problem.

I'm not even going to comment. LOL

What's sad is that you don't even realize how wrong you are. It must be nice to have been born perfect.

OMG. After reading the previous posts I am very shocked at the lack of tolerance here. Shame on you all. This person is not a 'perv' nor is she a freak or a cross dresser. Cross dressers do not want to be the other gender, they just like to dress like them. If she is wearing women's clothes to work and addresses herself as a woman, then my guess is that she will one day be a woman and I am particularly shocked at the feminists I've noted here who are not supportive. Of all the oppressed women in society, surely this group is the most oppressed.

You are right. If this is allowed then every perv in town will be trying to cross dress so they can go into the women's restroom.

I agree with you in the idea that with or without a penis, he will be male until death because it's encoded in his genes.
The only problem I have it one of "equality". If society is to be truly equal and non-discriminative, unisex bathrooms are mandatory. Without it, discrimination exists simply by means of denoting areas that are appropriate for one based on sex, much like employment.

My personal viewpoint is that this guy is a few sandwiches short of a picnic.

seems to me you have a problem. do you have seperate bathrooms at home for men and women ?
do you know there are firms that have one uni-sex bathroom ?
as long as people are neat and clean up after themselves and don't leave messes for others i don't really see what the problem is and why it bothers you. you're certainly entitled to your views and i respect them - i just think you're making a mountain out of an anthill. it's not like he's in the stall with you and seeing you or anything. just do your thing, clean up and get out.

I would say you have one mighty understanding company to work for. I can understand your discomfort, because we women have been taught to be so modest about normal functions, but I think you should have a bit more compassion for this person.

This person is not an "it." This person is one of the thousands of people clothed in the flesh of one gender, but emotionally tied to the opposite sex. It's not an easy situation, but it happens. I would say that your management is unusually sympathetic and I think it's wonderful.

Ignore this person's presence in your bathroom. I presume your bathroom has booths and you needn't peer through the cracks. In this person's heart and mind, he is as female as you are. The private parts of others are not your business.

Have a little sympathy for this person, concentrate on yourself and allow others to do the same.

This is one of those interesting problems that society has brought upon itself with being tolerant of everything. I personally wouldn't feel uncomfortable if I were you I mean he isn't attracted to women so he isn't in there for sexual reasons, I wouldn't let it bother me, I mean if he went in the mens room he'd probaly make the men feel alot more uncomfortable because he might be trying to take a look. It's a strange situation, I honestly think it should be based on attraction, if he is attracted to men then he probably does need to use the bathroom in the womens room.
