I do not judge people of their weight, because I have been on both sides of the fence. When I was 118 pounds and seen over over weight people I kind of thought of them as 'different' - 'handicapped' Why? I don't know.

I was 118 pounds when I got preg with my daughter and 125 when I got preg with my son. I gained allot of weight during and after my son was born - I weighed a whopping 200 pounds.

And I just did not see the point - or cared to take it off. However later I noticed that the way other people saw me - well what they saw they didn't like. They were nice and all but one can tell when they are treated different that the 'skinny crowd'.
I lost weight, not for them, but because my doctor said that I needed to loose weight. It took one year to lose all the unwanted weight. I feel great again! Healthy and attractive.

People who have not seen me in a while always say "Wow did you loose weight!" I keep forgetting that I did, because it was a year long life change that is now just part of me - I look at them and every single time I feel like I had just lost it all over again. I am like "Yes!" I have noticed that even though people do not, sometimes, opening state "Man your fat!" but that's what they are thinking! Because if my weight was not such a big deal why was it the first thing they noticed!!!!! I have had other people come right out and ask me if I was sick because I lost so much weight! Don't you just want to slap people sometimes!

i think it is that big of an issue for a lot of people. i'm with you tho and i really don't care as long as the people i associate are good to me and good in general.

i will say this tho - it is so dangerous these days to be heavy and i think it is demoralizing in so many ways. as you have seen here others really don't accept large people very well, clothing is limited and healthwise you are really at such high risk - so i think extremely overweight people must suffer from some major self esteem issues too!! all unfortunate. no i don't judge people for such things.

I don't think it should be a big issue. luckily my friends like me the way i am, I'm a bit overweight, not too fat and i have all kinds of friends, they don't care if I'm fat or not and neither do i. i care about the true inner feelings, but there are people in this world that are really shallow, like you say. We shouldn't judge people, i try not to.

I'm sorry to say but people's minds are like that. Even in studies of human behavior and communication says that people are more likely to speak more to people they are more attracted to... Sorry I read it from my Oral Communications book. I got some fat friends and I don't care. I'm not fat myself but I'm not gonna be shallow just because someone is fat. But I do admit that when it comes to girls I am more likely to go up to a fit girl than a fat girl... I mean I'm not insulting the fat people, I just don't go up to themas much but if they come to me I would gladly be friends. Also people want their mates to be as fit as they are... Its hard to hear but its part of human nature such as greed.

I appears to me that some people, have a huge issue with this. Personally, I couldn't care less how fat or thin a person is in order to befriend him/her. I do get upset, when I see "obese children" but I only blame their parents for not educating their kids with food and health.

I hope not, especially since I'm the big guy in this equation! Even though I'm a big guy i still court some very beautiful women!!! Womem love to laugh, & be made to feel special, they want to feel safe & know that their appreciated !!! I, personally, would love to loose the weight, but it's stubburn. It doesn't rule my life! Oh, & those who need to find someone with less physical attributes to point fingers at just to make themselves feel superior, I pity you, & would have nothing to do with you!!! There are better people than you on skid row!

That is the culture we've created for ourselves.

There's a premium on being young, thin, pretty, and rich.

That of course puts everyone at the other end of the spectrum at a disadvantage. It's unfair as hell, but it's the world we live in.

We have only ourselves to blame.

It's human nature to be shallow, although there are some big people that are good looking. I wouldnt judge someone because of weight.

Unfortunately, it IS an issue for some people. Often times, people are judged by their outward appearance, like body shape and race, instead of what matters: the inside.

People are shallow!
plus, being fat isn't good...it brings a lot of health risks...
We can't promote being fat! You should always care about your health, well.... fat people don't...and that is depressing!
But fat people are people too, in this fat round world!
