China is the largest foreign holder of U.S. debt. The U.S. debt is mounting and the dollar is dropping to never-before seen levels.
The U.S. manufacturing sector is suffering from increased globalization and the moving of production overseas (All things encouraged by the corporate elites and the politicians who serve them).
So have you started learning Chinese yet, so that you may properly greet our new overlords?

You know what I don't get about the push of American labor to china. Conservatives claim that organized labor, which they view as socialistic and anti-American, is driving the cost of labor in America too high for American business to compete globally. They seem to justify sending labor overseas because orgainzed labor in America is communistic.
They find no problem, however, in sending American jobs to a communistic country, China. So why is it okay to provide jobs for communistic workers in a foreign country and not for the so called American communistic workers?
I don't get that logic.
Even if organized labor in America were communistic, these American workers spend their money here inside our own economy.

Good point. I find it ironic that the U.S. Government spends hundreds of billions on a war yet argues about a couple of million domestically. I guess this is an example of penny wise and dollar foolish.

I wish I could translate that in Chinese.

I'm trying. And failing miserably.

But I doubt the Chinese will become our new "overlords" any time soon-- their economy isn't that great to begin with. And right now, I think we're a bit preoccupied with North Korea and the Middle East.

Yeah. They said the same thing about the Japanese in the 80s. Heard this song before. It's called globalization and trade. The US always seems to get the short end of the stick on it though.
By the by, I think it would be cool to learn chinese, but I don't have the time. Too busy on YA! Heh heh
