The facts are, Fox News beats all other cable news COMBINDED. Number one for the last 6 consecutive years. If this news outlet has no creditability as many democrats think, why the very high success? Is it not important to get your message out to the largest audience possible. The average for every democratic debate thus far is about 4 million. My goodness folks, CSI has more viewers. Why, why, why do democrats and the silly misinformed followers not understand what the truth in the ratings mean? Denial, stubbornness, or just don’t care as long as the government handouts become available again?

jurydoc... sorry but I can not give crditability to a web site which is a by-product of the far-left misinformation machine. That site has no creditability, you really should get informed. There is an old saying "Don't believe everything you read, and only half of what you see.". Any idiot can type anything on a web site, and so easy it is to not have to lay out evidence to back the crap they post. Try again little one.

So why may I ask you are they promoting the return of the "Fairness Doctrine?" Are they afraid of the conservative point of view? That would be the only reason I know of to reinstate something that would restrict freedom of speech.
Denial of the ratings is one thing.
There is a faction, out to keep conservatives quiet. America is under attack by socialists who disguise themselves in a major political party, they can and do infect any political party. They are not loyal Americans. In America, the citizens own the government, the government does not own the citizens.

High ratings does not necessarily mean it is the best, most accurate, most reliable or most credible source for news. It simply means that it is the most popular. And how does TV get to be popular? Usually by appealing to the lowest common denominator, and giving people what they want. That may be acceptable for entertainment programming (Acceptable but not necessarily desirable for the state of quality), but for news programming, it goes against what is supposed to be the primary purpose. News is supposed to report the truth. Fox has a tendency to report what they feel like reporting.
Remember, if popularity equaled quality, then the Spice Girls would have been a great singing group.

Well, let me see,..First of all, your question is too biased and wrong-headed to gain many answers from Democrats.
Second, any casual observer knows that television programs are aimed at the mentality of a 14 year-old. That would explain the popularity of Fox News!
Third, anyone who forms their opinions from TV only, is sadly under-informed.
Fourth, the visual medium gives an advantage to the best-looking candidates, for example: during the Kennedy-Nixon debate, television viewers overwhelmingly gave Kennedy the win, while radio listeners voted Nixon as the clear winner.
By this reasoning, John Edwards will win all debates,..cuz he's so purdy !
P.S. As I've stated many times in this forum, I'm a life-long Democrat, (now a very moderate one), and I've never gotten any hand-out from the Government. All Uncle Sam has ever done for me, was try to get me killed for four years in an illegal war !

Ooops, who's talking 'facts??"
For 2006, four trends stand out:
The average audience of the three main cable news channels was declining.
The drops at Fox News were the largest of all and marked the first time the cable news leader had begun to bleed viewers. . . .

The reason why Fox News beats all other cable news combined is because their viewer's watch Fox news and ONLY Fox news ALL DAY LONG, so of course their ratings will be higher.

The truth in the ratings you speak of is bogus. Can't it not occur to you that TV is not the only media for news? I know many people who don't have TV's anymore, but are well informed by radio, internet, etc. And just because something is popular with viewers doesn't make it legitimate. Popularity is not equal to TRUTH.
Edit: Naive? How is knowing that popular is not the truth naive? How can you be so blinded by propaganda?

like I said before EVIL or STUPID this one is a stupid follower. Not an evil one he is just ignorant. Only the repubs in CONTROL are evil the rest are just lemmings. Don't hate republicans, pity them. They are so filled with hate and/or fear that they belive whatever they are told. Especialy if its told by FLASHY fox news. Ohhh colors.....
Cuz if everything was really falling apart and if you were to really accept what is happening in america you would have to have an armed revolution and nobody(especialy not the rich) wants that, right. So if you stop being brainwashed you might have to DO something and that is unacceptable to repubs. They like to trade thier freedom for security and have neither, while pretending to have both. GOD will protect them.....and think for them.
Seriously I feel SO sorry for republicans I pity you fools so much.
Now be good little robots and hit the thumbs down buttton, your masters command it.

Maybe tazing you might wake you to the facts. Fox Noise makes up the numbers. And even giving them the benefit of the doubt, what do those numbers mean? Millions still watch American Idol, does that make it good? Fox Noise is the propaganda arm of the Bush government and as such deserves to be suspect.
