Well, since no one has ever been able to show that ghosts even exist at all, I'd say no, no paranormal investigator has ever been injured by whatever it was they were investigating. I bet they wish they had though, since that would have been their first solid evidence ever that they weren't wasting their time.

Your question is interesting. We only see this in movies and read in fiction. Not heard of any paranormal investigator getting killed in real life while chasing a ghost. Most people do not believe in ghosts. But we keep reading articles about real sightings of ghosts by people known or unknown to us which makes us believe it may be true. Same is the case of rebirth. We will know the answer to this only after our death. Let us hope some one can access Yahoo Answers after death and tells us every thing about what happens after death, how powerful the ghosts can be and whether rebirth is true.

I am an investigator and have had things thrown at me by spirits. So far nothing big enough to hurt. A friend got hit by a book and that hurt. The biggest thing I was hit with was a box of cereal, oats flakes. Not exactly a deadly weapon.
Edit 1. It happened in a store with witnesses, not in the dark.

Good question. When you're walking around in the dark with your EMF meter it's easy for someone to throw something at you which you might attribute to a ghost. I remember not long ago we had one nutcase regular here on Yahoo Answers, a Level 7 no less, who claimed to have been beaten up and given broken ribs by a ghost! LOL! And he really wanted to be taken seriously, too.
Even if ghosts exist, it would be impossible for them to throw anything at you or exert any force on you. They have no mass. And if they did have mass, you'd have to explain how they defy gravity. It gets very messy and very silly very quickly.

There's a video on YouTube I'll post at the end of this answer.

By the second week of December, I was starting to really question whether staying in that apartment was worth it. On a Saturday night at about 2 a.m., we were talking in bed about our different schedules for the coming week. Suddenly, Bill let out a scream of pain. He got up and lifted his shirt, and there was a big red scratch on his belly.
There was nothing there, like a bug, that could have caused it. He said it felt like someone put out a cigarette on him, then dragged it out. While I was busy scrutinizing the scratch, something tried to grab my hand. It felt like a big, rough, man's hand. I jerked my hand away.
We decided to get up, put clothes on, grab our cat and leave. We were out the door with nothing but the clothes on our backs and our wallets. We checked into a pet-friendly motel. The next day we began to look for a new apartment.

Good question. You see so many of the superstitious who say it's a bad think to make contact with the unknown. If that were the case then wouldn't the job of paranormal investigator be right up there with crab fishermen among the most dangerous jobs?
Oh wait! How could I forget about the Curse of the Mummy? That totally killed a bunch of people LOL

Not killed to my knowledge. Physically hurt yes. The greatest danger is the possession of the body by the spirit. That is the real danger. And yes. It does happen.

I saw a program where they throw a brick to one of the investigator..according to the program the tape was taken to a well known univeristy and there was no logical explanation to how that happened, they studied the video and did not find anything suspicious, meaning that something weird lifted and throw it at them. They were being mean to the spirit, telling him they knew who he killed and that he was bad and all that stuff. I guess the ghost got upset and lifted the brick and throw it at them...
I hae also seen other where they maybe push or pinch but that is about it/

It is highly unlikely that anyone has ever been injured or killed by a ghost as ghosts do not exist.
